Steve's Personal Mission Statement

"I try to treat each client as though they are my only client. I take the time to identify each client's overall needs. My goal is to provide valuable and timely information and solutions."

Steven joined Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC in 1992. As a member and owner in the firm, he operates in an advisory role and provides clients with assurance and tax consulting services. Though Steven works with a variety of clients, he primarily focuses his practice on agricultural businesses, feed yards and construction. In addition to his client service duties, he also serves in a supervisory capacity on the firm's Information Technology Committee and the Audit and Accounting Committee.

Steven began his career at Lindburg & Vogel, Chartered in Hutchinson, Kansas. He gained valuable experience during his 5 years with the firm by providing audit services for local grain cooperatives and credit unions. The skill and insight Steven obtained in this position built a strong platform for his current role.

With over 2 decades of experience, Steven is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the individual needs of his clients. He often facilitates one-on-one strategic sessions with his clients to help them better understand the financial position of their businesses. For one client, Steven provided accounting system training, which resulted in the simplification of their chart of accounts, an upgrade in their computer system and replacement of their backup system – ultimately protecting them in the event of a disaster or technology failure situation.

Steven grew up on a farm near Johnson, Kansas and currently resides in Garden City with his wife and daughters. To unwind, he enjoys attending his daughters' extracurricular activities and remodeling his home. Steven also has a keen interest in technology and computers.
