Monica joined Lewis, Hooper and Dick, LLC in 1997. She began her tenure with the firm as a staff accountant and worked her way up to member/owner, where she is responsible for supervising audits, reviews, and client tax preparation. Additionally, Monica assists with staff training and client support. Although she works with clients in a variety of industries, her main focus is with cattle feed yards and other agricultural related businesses.
Raised on a small family farm in Lincoln, Kansas, Monica has always considered it important to stay connected to the agricultural industry in some way. She is keenly aware of the issues faced by today’s farmers and the agricultural industry as a whole. Monica became interested in accounting when she took a class on the subject in high school. After graduating from college, she wanted a career that allowed her to remain connected to her farming roots, which she now achieves by working with clients in the agriculture industry.
Described as a hard worker, a good teacher, and a team player, Monica remains focused on client success. She attributes her achievements to her parents, who instilled in her a good work ethic and a strong belief in taking pride in what you do.
Outside of work, Monica enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include listening to music, reading, cooking, and gardening.
