Monica joined Lewis, Hooper and Dick, LLC in 1997. She began her tenure with the firm as a staff accountant and has worked her way up to member/owner. Monica supervises audits, reviews and client tax preparation. She also assists with staff training and client support. Monica works with a variety of clients, but her main focuses are cattle feed yards and other agricultural related businesses.
Monica has always considered it important to stay connected to the agricultural industry in some way. Having grown up on a small family farm in Lincoln, Kansas, she is keenly aware of the issues faced by today’s farmers and the agricultural industry as a whole. Monica became interested in accounting when she took a class in high school. When she graduated from college, she wanted her career to allow her to remain connected with her farming roots and has achieved that by working with clients in the agriculture industry.
Monica’s colleagues describe her as a hard worker, good teacher and team player. Her main focus in her work is on client success. Monica attributes much of her success to her parents, who instilled in her a strong belief in a good work ethic and taking pride in what you do. She is always giving her clients her best.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, reading, cooking and gardening.
