To celebrate the life and legacy of the firm’s founder, our Garden City office will be closed Wednesday, August 11th from 10am – 1pm.
Theresa joined Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC in 1987. Theresa specializes in governmental organizations. Specifically, she oversees audits, assists in the development of organizational budgets and provides management guidance to her public sector clients.
In addition to Theresa’s client service responsibilities, she served as the firm’s CEO and CFO for eight years during which time she played a significant role in the creation and implementation of Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC’s practice development initiatives.
Prior to joining Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC, Theresa worked as a staff accountant, assisting with tax and audit services at two local firms. With over 41 years of experience in accounting, she has gained the admiration of colleagues and peers within the industry.
Theresa prides herself on her role as a problem solver for her clients. In working with local governments, she has assisted in the evaluation of reserves to meet current and future needs, determining the feasibility of capital projects and enabling her clients to begin construction projects with minimum bonding.
Theresa is a well-respected accounting authority within the industry. She has been invited to make presentations to various groups and has served as a member of the Governor’s School Efficiency Task Force.
Theresa grew up on a farm near Dodge City, Kansas, and currently resides in Garden City. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with cooking, hiking, and working around the house and yard.

Steven joined Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC in 1992. As a member/owner in the firm, he operates in an advisory role and provides clients with assurance and tax consulting services. Though Steven works with a variety of clients, he primarily focuses his practice on agricultural businesses, feed yards and construction. In addition to his client service duties, he serves on the firm’s accounting and auditing committee, and information technology committee.
Steven began his career at Lindburg & Vogel, Chartered in Hutchinson, Kansas. He gained valuable experience during his five years with the firm by providing audit services for local grain cooperatives and credit unions. The skills and insights Steven obtained in this position built a strong platform for his current role.
With over two decades of experience, Steven is equipped with the abilities and knowledge necessary to meet the individual needs of his clients. He often facilitates one-on-one strategic sessions with his clients to help them better understand the financial position of their businesses. For one client, Steven provided accounting system training, which resulted in the simplification of their chart of accounts, an upgrade in their computer system and replacement of their backup system – ultimately protecting them in the event of a disaster or technological failure situation.
Steven grew up on a farm near Johnson, Kansas and currently resides in Garden City with his wife. Together they have four daughters. To unwind, he enjoys gardening and working on home remodeling projects. Steven also has a keen interest in technology and computers.

Lisa began her accounting career at Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC in 2008 and currently serves as a member/owner. She primarily works with the firm’s governmental and tax clients, and assists with audits, tax returns, financial statement preparation and staff training. Lisa also serves on the accounting and audit committee, where she is responsible for maintaining quality control for the firm’s attestation services. As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, she assists clients and staff with the utilization of QuickBooks.
In her free time, Lisa pursues a variety of hobbies, including traveling, arts and crafts, and running 5k races.

Kristin joined Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC in 2004 and has seen many changes in Southwest Kansas and the accounting industry during that time. With over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry, Kristin is deeply committed to providing exceptional service to both current and future clients. Her dedication to personal interaction with clients is one of her greatest strengths; she firmly believes that building strong, personal relationships allows her to better understand their needs and deliver tailored, high-quality solutions.
As an expert with governmental entities, Kristin assists with audits, financial statement preparation, and bookkeeping services. She also specializes in tax planning and preparation for a wide range of businesses and individuals, always ensuring that her clients are equipped with the best strategies to manage their financial obligations and plan for the future. Kristin is known for her attention to detail, her problem-solving abilities, and her commitment to staying ahead of industry changes to provide her clients with the most effective guidance.
Outside of her professional life, Kristin is a proud mother of four children: Riley, Ellie, Brynlie, and Jace. She and her husband, Caleb, are involved in their children’s activities and can often be found attending their sporting events. When she’s not busy with her family, Kristin enjoys exploring new travel destinations. Her passion for work and family balance reflects her holistic approach to life, which she brings to both her professional and personal endeavors.
