Our Commitment to the Community
Lewis Hooper & Dick, LLC has a long tradition of community involvement and dedication to western Kansas. In recent years, the firm donated the Fulton House to the Garden City Museum for its pioneer village. We have also served as founding fund members for the Western Kansas Community Foundation and the Garden City Public Schools Foundation.
Our Commitment to the Future
Education is extremely important to our firm. We strive to provide opportunities and vision to students so they can succeed now and in the future. Our firm is a Partner in Education with Victor Ornelas Elementary School. We support the students and staff with personal visits to classrooms, special events and contributions. Our staff takes part in several activities with the children throughout the year, including a monthly lunch bunch and ice cream day. In addition, Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC offers incentives to the children and teachers, such as third and fourth grade testing rewards, scholarship funds and teacher recognitions.
At Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC, we strongly encourage our team members to take an active role in serving local not-for-profits. They are involved in a variety of organizations in Finney County, including the United Way, Rotary Club, Lions Club, Kiwanis, Partners in Education USD #457, Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo, Tumbleweed Festival, Finney County Young Professionals, Leadership Kansas, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). In addition, Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC provides college scholarships to Garden City Community College, Fort Hays State University and Kansas State University.
As a testament to our dedication to the community, Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC is a recipient of the annual Corporate Citizen Award from the Finney County United Way. This award is given to honor a Finney County business that has improved the community through its philanthropic efforts and the support of the United Way. We consistently strive to reach new heights in aiding our community so we may continue to improve the surroundings for our family, friends and colleagues.
Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC is also a recipient of the Southwest Kansas Regional Achievement Award, presented by the Kansas Department of Commerce. Our firm was one of the finalists for the Governor’s Award of Excellence for the contributions we have made to our community and to the state economy. In 2005, Lewis Hooper & Dick, LLC was awarded the first-ever Public Service Award given by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This annual award recognizes members who have made significant contributions to their communities.
