Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC Accountants Announce New Managing Member
Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC is pleased to announce Theresa Dasenbrock, CPA, CFE, CGMA, has assumed the role of Managing Member/Owner at the firm.
“I am proud to take on this leadership responsibility – and honored that the firm’s other members have placed their trust in me,” said Dasenbrock, who has been with the firm for 30 years. “My colleague, Gary Schlappe, has done excellent work as managing member of the firm since 2000. I am hopeful that I can make an equally valuable contribution to the firm’s legacy.”

I am confident the firm is in excellent hands.” Schlappe remains with the firm full-time and stepped down from the role of Managing Member to transition firm leadership to the next generation.
Dasenbrock joined Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC in 1987. She became a Member in 2006 and has served as Vice Managing Member/Owner since 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from St. Mary of the Plains College, graduating magna cum laude in 1984 with an accounting emphasis. Dasenbrock focuses her practice on the specialty area of governmental organizations, though she serves clients in a broad variety of industries. In addition to providing management guidance to clients in the public sector, she advises on traditional and non-traditional accounting issues. Dasenbrock has also played an important role in the firm’s practice development initiatives and strategic goals.
As well as being a speaker at various accounting conferences, Dasenbrock is a member of many accounting organizations and committees. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants (KSCPA) where she has served on the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Task Force, the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee, and the Not-for-Profit Organization Accounting and Auditing Committee. She has also served as chairman of the board of editors for the KSCPA’s Kansas Municipal Audit Guide, and is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
